Special Called Business Meeting

The purpose of this meeting is to consider and vote on a motion regarding the sale of real property that was recently donated to the Baptist State Convention of Michigan by the Huron Association in Howell, Michigan.
As you may know, we received this property as a gift. The Board of Trustees will be meeting to recommend that the property be listed and sold so that the proceeds can be used to further Gospel work across Michigan. Because the value of the property may exceed $100,000, our policies require that the messengers of the Convention approve this action in a specially called business meeting.

We move that the messengers of the Baptist State Convention of Michigan authorize Ronald Ed Emmerling, Executive Director-Treasurer, to list and sell and sign any documents related to such sale for the real property that the BSCM received as a gift from the Huron Association.

We further move that the proceeds received from the sale of this property, after costs, be earmarked for Church Planting/Replanting and Revitalization.
This brief meeting will allow us to steward this generous gift well and direct the proceeds toward strengthening and multiplying churches across Michigan.
